Reproclaiming the Everlasting Gospel
As Jonah was, so am I.
I sense that the time has come to allow the Christ, our Lord and Teacher, to speak through me to the auditory that He will guide me to.
Christ has cleansed me from the dross of pride. I must walk in the path of the Guide to the glory of His name.
Pray for me as the way opens.
Brad
Brad, These few words have come to me. It seems like there ought to be more, but I don't have them yet.
The minister of God must understand the heart of God, else he cannot minister the things of God. The heart of God is the restoration of mankind and the re-ordering of all creation. This is the end, i.e. the purpose, of Christ's coming. Thus are we living in end times, times when we see the purpose of God being fulfilled. The light of Christ, which is the Life in Him, is shining in the darkness. Those who love the darkness, hate this light of Christ, for it brings them and their deeds into judgement. Those who accept the light of Christ, who willingly bring their deeds and their life to this light, are given the power to become sons of God. So the call is to judgement that the dross may be turned away from and the pure life of Christ followed after. We are the sons of him whose deeds we do!
There are many who profess a belief in Christ, but are not come to hear Him as their teacher and the teacher of His people. Such are still in captivity. This state of "believing in Christ" that does not bring one to know Him as the Prophet like Moses is a state of darkness and delusion. It is under the power of Satan and must be turned away from, for Christ is come to teach his people himself. The end of all true ministry is to bring people to this teacher. So the call is to liberty that we may stand in our creation.
I have witnessed many who make a fair beginning fall victim of the snare of the enemy. The minister of God has received freely and so gives freely. You are not for hire. The hired minister has already compromised his purpose. He cannot lead people to Christ, their free teacher. The call is for the people of God to posses the life and power of the living God, which is only available when we come to know Christ in and among us in all his offices.
Brad, This reminds me of a comment Lewis Benson made about certain sections of the Society (maybe most sections) not wanting him. I believe that comment comes in the excellent booklet "What Did George Fox Teach About Christ?" which is now available online. Mouse over the Resources tab to get the drop-down menu. Click on Online Resources. Click on "What Did George Fox Teach About Christ?" I have read that work many times and always find good things in it each time.

The NFF exists to preach the Christian Message that was proclaimed by the Early Friends. Christ has come to teach his People himself
