Reproclaiming the Everlasting Gospel
Welcome, Mike, to our website community. I invite you to tell us something about yourself, where you are from, why you are interested in the work of the New Foundation Fellowship, what you hope to gain from your association with us, etc. We host a couple of monthly conference calls for the purpose of reading and discussing the writings of Fox: one on the second Saturday of the month (morning in the U.S.) and one on the third Monday of the month (evening in the U.S.). If you are interested in participating, send me an email to ebhein (at) vcn dot com.
Thanks Ellis for the welcome. I'm originally from Chambersburg Pennsylvania and I and my wife now reside in Big Lake, Alaska where I've lived for 15 years now. I hope to learn more about George Fox and the early Friends and to network with other Christ centered Quakers. There doesn't seem to be any "Conservative" Unprogrammed meetings here in Alaska and I'm currently reaching out to surrounding communities in the hopes of starting a worship group. I hope to get some advice and counsel regarding this endeavor. I'm currently reading a book by Arthur Roberts called "Tomorrow is Growing Old: Stories of The Quakers in Alaska.
I do not know this book by Arthur Roberts. I have read some things by him. Sometimes I have appreciated what he had to say. I can point you to too much to read. But I will start with the following:
George Fox’s Teaching about Christ by Lewis Benson in QRT Vol. 16 nos. 1-2
What Did George Fox Teach About Christ, New Foundation publications No. 1
I can supply electronic copies of the last two items if you are interested.
Hello Mike, I have noticed that all the emails I send you regarding our zoom meetings for reading and discussing the writings of George Fox bounce back. Do you wish to continue receiving those announcements?
Hello Ellis, I would like to continue receiving your emails. firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks !
OK, Mike, I have updated the template with your new address.
Thank you Ellis.
