Autobiography of George Fox, location 1303

"As we travelled we came near a very great hill, called Pendle Hill, and I was moved of the Lord to go up to the top of it; which I did with difficulty, it was so very steep and high. When I was come to the top, I saw the sea bordering upon Lancashire. From the top of this hill the Lord let me see in what places he had a great people to be gathered."

And gather them he did. And those people gathered are among the chosen people. They're not waiting for us to join them to complete the gathering or rather the Church. They are the Church, Christ's Church.

"When people come to witness the spirit of God and [to] feel that in themselves they turn out of the market and go to work in the vineyard."

"All men and women that come into the truth, the first work is to convince people of God's truth, and turn them from the power of Satan to the power of God. Then they come to receive their earnest and wages, the gift of God. Here all to work in God's vineyard, all that are convinced, they labor in that which called them by the power and grace. They were called by that which brought salvation as Paul was." (The Lord Alone Was The Teacher, p. 63, That Thy Candles May Always Be Burning).

The Church is open to all and all are welcome who will be gathered. But the gathering must be done in every time period in which people live. Do we contemporary Friends make that steep and high journey up Pendle Hill?

Rhonda, the second line of your post says, "Autobiography of George Fox, location 1303" Is this the title of a book and a page number? Is this the source of your quote about Pendle Hill? Thanks for clarification.

It's a Kindle purchase on my phone from Amazon. It is George Fox's autobiography. I write the location number which can then be located from the index. It's great as it's easier to transport than the Nickalls' book. I can read it anywhere.
