Reproclaiming the Everlasting Gospel
I am on an interesting spiritual journey. I didn’t think I’d ever consider Quakerism, but given the secular and political propensities of modern denominations today, it is a wise choice. I’ve been looking for a community where Christ truly speaks to His people—not through platitudes, stump speeches, or “theology-speak.” Just pure Gospel truth. That’s rare in today’s churches. You’d be hard-pressed to walk into a Catholic, Orthodox, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist, Episcopal, or Mennonite church where the emphasis is on ritual, not Christ. Ritual is fine, but when it gets in the way of the gospel, it verges on idolatry. Christ Himself said: “This people honoreth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain do they worship me, teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men” (Matthew 15:8-9).
So, I am here to gather with God’s people in Christ to receive His message plainly, without complication. Christianity is such a simple religion, yet theologians and pastors want to complicate it by explaining doctrine or defending the faith against “heathens.” All fine and well, but the gospel must be plainly expressed. Hearing Christ Himself and dwelling with Him is enough for me. I don’t need “ritual” to define my faith in Christ. I just need to hear Him for myself.
The NFF exists to preach the Christian Message that was proclaimed by the Early Friends. Christ has come to teach his People himself
