Hmmm... How to respond to the political scene in the U.S. after the election?

Dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

     I ask for your indwelling strength, courage, wisdom and love to well up within me to enable me to move forward with your grace as I choose to participate in my nation's government as a catalyst for your Hope, Peace, and Love. I humbly confess my despair and anxiety, grief and an overwhelming sense of loss due to recent political strife. I pray for Donald Trump that he and his administration may follow your lead to guide us in your ways, all redeemed in your Love as followers of Christ. May your plan for redemption be revealed in each of us as a nation under God. May my countrymen and women look to you for guidance and counsel. You are the Counselor and I lay prostrate at your feet, Lord, and request that you fill me with your Light. Guide me/us all in the hours, days, weeks, months and years to come to "Make a way out of no way..." as Martin Luther King, Jr., once said and as you are wont to do. And strengthen me to lift my eyes and heart to you in times of sorrow. You are the Way, Lord. You are the path to peace and justice for all. In Jesus Christ's Holy Name and Great Spirit. Amen.
