Reproclaiming the Everlasting Gospel
Thank you Ellis for the welcome, though when i am reading it now and responding much late in time after being a member. I hope however that i am not too late to catch up with all i have missed.
About myself....
I am from Kenya, based in Nairobi, and a Quaker since birth. I have read as much materials on Quakerism (of course one can never say has read enough). I have also written two or three articles in the NFF papers in the past, and look forward to get back to continuous writing as i learn too from the great giants i live to admire in my life on the "Quakerulture", and especially in the current contexts.
I also take some time to teach in a number of gatherings when invited, mostly they have been interdenominational, here in Nairobi. the above notwithstanding, i need even more, to satiate my hunger for readership on the life, culture, behavior and words of quakers.
I came to learn of NFF because we receive them quite often. Terry Wallace has been sending my mum and at times myself the papers, and they have left indelible marks in my life.
Ah, Ellis, i can write and write.
Yours in the love of Christ,
Caleb
The NFF exists to preach the Christian Message that was proclaimed by the Early Friends. Christ has come to teach his People himself

Caleb, You may not be aware that the Works of George Fox are available online from a couple of websites. Hal Worthington's site has Fox's works in updated English, and he has a selection of other early Quaker writings. Earlham School of Religion has Fox's Works in the English of the original printing. It is your choice as to which is preferable to you. I can't give you those URLs, but they will probable come up if you do a search for the Works of George Fox. I do not know of any better source for understanding the life of the early Quakers than reading Fox's Works. Other early Quaker writers such as Pennington, Howgill, Burrough, Stephen Crisp are all good, but you MUST read Fox to get the full understanding. If you are also interested in reading modern writers, read everything Lewis Benson wrote. I can also recommend my latest post on this site, The Grammar of the Gospel. I would be happy to hear any comments you may have on that piece. So, all for the moment. Ellis
