Patricia Dallmann commented on Patricia Dallmann's blog post The New Way
"The early Quakers became sons of God in that they received the spirit of Christ (Jn.1:12), which cast out all other spirits, as Christ's spirit is more powerful than any other spirit. I think of the spirit of Cain who became murderous toward…"

"I am always struck by the relevance of the latter part of Isaiah 54 and the early portion of 55. Isaiah 54 speaks of "all your sons will be taught by the Lord" and this we have seen in the early Quakers. Chapter 55 then gets to our day:"

The New Way

The following is based upon vocal ministry given in a Philadelphia meeting on 11/5/17.There is a story about Jesus that takes place after he’d been ministering for a while. He was at home, visiting with his brothers shortly before a festival was to occur in Jerusalem. His brothers were planning to go to the festival, but Jesus was not planning to go with them. The brothers spoke to Jesus, perhaps to chastise him for not going, or perhaps to mock him. They said to Jesus, if you have a message…See More

Moses and the Burning Bush

For there were three sorts of dreams: for multitude of business sometimes caused dreams; and there were whisperings of Satan in man in the…

Rediscovering the Teaching of George Fox: Introduction to "Restoring the Church of the Cross" (Eighth lecture)

The fellowship of the cross of Christ…is not of man, nor by man; for it is in the everlasting power of God; therefore, no longer do you keep in fellowship, but as you keep in the cross of Christ (Works, 8:67).

“Restoring the Church of the Cross" is the title of the eighth lecture in the series Rediscovering the Teaching of George Fox given by Lewis Benson in 1982 at Moorestown (N.J.) Meeting. In this lecture, Benson explores the meaning and relevance of these…

It sounds like it might be well to wait for the 2015 publication to come out before purchasing.  I'll see what I can find out about it.  Thanks, Pat...

Thank you for the welcoming words. Perhaps this is the place to say a few words about myself.

I am a retired speech and language pathologist. I live in San Mateo, California. I was born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts and raised as a Roman Catholic. Some twenty five years ago I first learned of Quakerism through chance reading, and became especially interested in the principles and beliefs of early and traditional Friends. I also have an ongoing interest in early Christianity of the first three centuries since even before that time. I can read the Koine Greek of the New Testament.

I have had an association with Ohio Conservative Quakers for some twenty  years. Two years ago I became an affiliate member of Middleton Friends Meeting in Columbiana, Ohio (Ohio Yearly Meeting (Conservative)). But living in San Mateo, California, I attend Palo Friends Meeting, a local liberal Friends meeting.

I look forward to learning more about authentic traditional Quaker teachings and beliefs and participating on this New Foundation Fellowship website.

Thank you for introducing yourself, Henry. I hope you feel encouraged to join in our discussions and to post essays of your own. Please also feel free to comment on any of the earlier posts, if you wish. You've had a long-time interest in early Friends--as have many of us--and I look forward to your contributions.

Some of us also have connections to Ohio YM (Conservative). Terry Wallace is a member there and has been active with NFF for decades, also Arthur Berk. I attended the yearly meeting in Barnesville a few times, and now and then have met with Keystone Fellowship here in Pennsylvania. Also, in 2001, I traveled in the ministry in France with Nancy Hawkins. Jack and Susan Smith have attended our gatherings often. So, there's been quite a bit of overlap.

Again, glad you found your way here!
