I just got them on Saturday, so I haven't read them yet.
I'm just about to finish the Penguin edition of Fox's Journal. I've also been reading all these PDFs of Benson's and eagerly awaiting the Benson books I ordered.
After the Journal, I plan on reading through Fox's Epistles. I have The Power of the Lord is Over All. I find the Journal doesn't give the content of Fox's theology. I mean, it says that he went preaching here and there, but not what he preached. Only hints. I'm hoping the Epistles will give more content to what he preached.
You will find such things as the Penguin edition of Fox's Journal to be very much abridged. Fox's theology being one thing to be cut if you want to make for a short book, I guess. You will get a much clearer understanding of his life and message from Vols. 1 & 2 which are his Journal. Vols. 7&8 are his epistles which are written to Friends mostly. Vols. 4,5, & 6 are the Doctrinals which contain much of what he wrote to people outside of Friends. Vol. 3 is a book of rebuttals. Fox gathered up much of the anti-Quaker books and tracts and answered them in this volume.
These will not be a fast read. But it will be a deeply satisfying experience. If you have questions, someone on the site will most likely have at least a suggestion if not an answer.

You had mentioned earlier that you had purchased a second-hand set of the Works of Fox. Have you been able to dig into them much?
