Brenda Redshaw commented on Patricia Dallmann's blog post The New Way
"Man makes it very complicated, but it is really very simple. God will come and dwell in us, in the New Covenant Temple, and make us sons of God, only if we allow Him to cleanse it first. We cannot have 'bits of Him'. It is all or nothing -…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Rebecca Hein's blog post The story of the rich young man
"I don't agree Rebecca that Jesus was making a rule appropriate to that time and culture, and that today, when money can be made legitimately, it is okay. The point was concerning that rich young man whose love for money was keeping him out of…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Ellis Hein's blog post Do You Believe...
"That is a very good question Ellis and I am pleased that you asked. I could have been clearer so thank you. I do not mean using scripture like many do, that is to say, by proof texting. We can find backup for almost anything if we do that. We may…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Ellis Hein's blog post Do You Believe...
"I agree absolutely, the primary authority is immediate and personal revelation but it must be backed up by scripture other wise we are on shaky ground as the enemy seeks to deceive us. Well most of us, some claim they cannot be deceived but by…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Ellis Hein's blog post Do You Believe...
"Ellis wrote "There is no secondary authority; not scripture, not priesthood, and not Church tradition. We do not need to consult a second opinion." Then hear what Barclay wrote in Apology and see that your view is not Quaker: §VI. In…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Ellis Hein's blog post George Fox on Sanctification
"Thank you for the references to sanctification that you have posted. The subject was very important to Fox, him being a holiness teacher primarily, although he also performed other roles like evangelist and apologist. This quotation by him is…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Ellis Hein's blog post George Fox on Sanctification
"I have copied and pasted it on this page to help compare. Thank you Ellis. Alhough a friend of the truth, yet your mind goes out from the truth and is strong in the flesh and the deceit. You live in lust, which darkens your understandings, and in…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Ellis Hein's blog post George Fox on Sanctification
""Sanctification is something accomplished by the Holy Spirit and subdues (for some) or destroys (for others) the sin nature. These are seen as separate works of grace. And the means of these graces are various and numerous." Such…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Ellis Hein's blog post George Fox on Sanctification
"Okay it does but you have to scroll down. No ideas why It does not work for you. In full: To a Convinced, but not Purified Friend: Although a friend of the truth, yet your mind goes out from the truth and is strong in the flesh and the deceit. You…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Ellis Hein's blog post George Fox on Sanctification
"To a Convinced, but not Purified Friend: By waiting for the Spirit of the Lord within you to guide your mind, you will find your strength renewed daily by the one Spirit that ... There is no confusion, but instead perfect peace. This Spirit…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Allistair Lomax's blog post A Review of Derek's Guiton's Book: A Man that Looks on Glass: Standing up for God
"On re-reading Barclay's Apology, he says clearly that the light enlighhtens men ALL IN A DAY: the Day of the Lord, when all men, in contrast with Calvinisms limited atonement, are given the chance to accept the judgement of God, and if they do…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Allistair Lomax's blog post A Review of Derek's Guiton's Book: A Man that Looks on Glass: Standing up for God
"Patricia wrote: One must also interpret Scriptures under this authority, and not as Barclay admonishes against in his first proposition, with "many and various opinions of God and religion, being so much mixed with the guessings and uncertain…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Allistair Lomax's blog post A Review of Derek's Guiton's Book: A Man that Looks on Glass: Standing up for God
"No Ellis I do not begin there because I agree in the immediate direct revelation as authority for the believer and have said so in previous conversations.  When Fox emphasised the light that lightens every man so much he was refuting Calvinism…"

Brenda Redshaw commented on Allistair Lomax's blog post A Review of Derek's Guiton's Book: A Man that Looks on Glass: Standing up for God
"Thank you Ellis that was helpful. It seems that the eQuakers, were making a doctrine out of one verse, which of itself is unclear as to when men become enlightened. It could be at birth, when man is innocent as was Adam before he fell or it could be…"

Christ has come to teach his People himself.

The NFF exists to preach the Christian Message that was proclaimed by the Early Friends. Christ has come to teach his People himself.

I have heard this so many times - I wonder if anyone can explain it fully?
