Hello all,

I am an ordained Primitive Baptist minister in North Carolina. I recently began to feel a longing and a desire for holiness and Godly living. In the course of my study of the Holy Scriptures I began to sense that the church I have served in, the church of the 21st century, was not the Church of the Lord Jesus.  As I began to pray and study more and more, I began to see that one church is of the bondwoman and the other of the free.

Then Isaac Penington happened. I have never encountered Quaker writings before. I was told in the past never to trust the Quakers or read them.  The rationale was that all Quakers were heretical and deist at best! As I read Penington, especially the "Way of Life and Death Made Manifest". I was literally brought to my knees. I didn't sleep that evening. My wife noticed my agitation. I knew then from the Spirit I believe, that I was sold a fake product. The church of this world is the bondwoman. It has all the trappings of true religion, but it lacks the Spirit.  How I served this institution! How I loved being saved in my sin!

So now, three incredible days of soul searching and brow beating later, I am writing these lines to you. I know the Lord is making me low in my esteem and teaching me with His Spirit. I desire to be a Real Friend of the Lord Jesus and live in His gospel. I want to preach the Gospel that Christ has set us free from our sins and has come to be our Teacher.

What a joy and blessing to get to know Him in all of His offices! Offices that He still works in for His children!

I desire help in the Christian life.  I am here to be led and to serve Him who stil teaches and guides by His Spirit inside of us.
